Girl Power for the next generation, She Power Rocks! How many times have you gone through a particular situation with a man and wondered why he act the way he acts? What did I do wrong? Why do I always get mistreated? That’s exactly what a lot of other women want to know. You are not alone. Millions of women are going through the same dilemmas and are longing for someone to talk to. Reecey and Brownie better known as Descendants of Reality (DOR) have answered the call to be that voice of reason, advice, comfort and direction. Founded and established in 2007, Descendants of Reality received a word from God that now was the time to IGNITE, EMPOWER, and LIBERATE God’s women redirecting them to their divine purpose for which they were naturally intended.

No, this is not a male bashing outlet. There are many wonderful men and She Power Rocks honors and respects them all. This is simply an awakening for women of purpose. Getting back to your roots, remembering whose you are and what it means to be a Proverbs 31 woman. Taking back your dignity, making good on your dreams and the visions God has placed in you. Not settling for less. Having the courage to step out on faith and do something non-traditional. Living the life God intended, drama free.

She Power Rocks is “A Woman’s Launch Pad for Liberation!” Focusing on college women in the Nashville area and abroad, She Power Rocks (SPR) seeks to deliver a relevant message of inspiration, renewed self-conscientiousness, and self-assuredness, by providing a platform for answers to relationship situations such as physically and emotionally abusive relationships, health awareness and prevention of HIV/AIDS, HPV, and other STDs and dealing with the aspects of music and how it affects our daily lives.

She Power Rocks is NOT your normal women’s support group. The sessions are very interactive. No format is ever the same. The ladies of DOR are creative and ever evolving, so there’s no limit or status quo. Non-traditional out the box thinking is what SPR and Descendants of Reality seek to convey to women nationwide. Sessions may start with an ice breaker skit, sound off, or musical intro to get everyone loosened up and acquainted. Participants are given impromptu scenarios and asked to quickly develop a skit conveying each message, cliché, and response imaginable thus bringing awareness and self realization.

Area professionals are invited to share dialogue, resources, and expertise. SPR is a spring board to get women talking and redirected so participants will need local services to refer back to once DOR leaves the scene. Sisters are encouraged to ask questions and share during the lecture segment.

Not only are sisters becoming ignited, empowered and liberated, they are also entertained by the women of Descendants of Reality. DOR began their singing career as outrageous students at Tennessee State University. Their love for music, people, and God has only grown and transcended many levels. She Power Rocks and the Descendants of Reality are a premier group of individuals unselfishly giving of themselves to better someone else.
