How To Be A Beautiful
Weirdo
To be a
Beautiful Weirdo is to be
beautiful and weird at the same
time. The definition of
Beautiful Weirdoz is being
yourself, being different, and
knowing who you are despite what
other people may think about
you. Being a Beautiful Weirdo is
about being different and
standing out from the rest of
the pack. Beautiful Weirdoz is a
movement that is not yet in full
effect, but on the rise.
Beautiful Weirdoz don't fit in
they fit OUT!!! Beautiful
Weirdoz never fall into the
category of being anybody's
expectations because you never
know what to expect with a
Beautiful Weirdo.

Introduction to YUR Teen
Welcome to YURTeen, the
official online magazine for teens. We first
want everyone to know who we are. We go by Da
Misfit Twiinz.(Jalesa and Shalesa). With YURTeen
Magazine we want to be able to inspire people,
including other teens, pre-teens,and even young
adults. We want other teens to know that we
relate also in things like peer-pressure,
wanting to make a difference, having a voice
,wanting to BE different, relationships, and so
much more.. |

Da Misfit
Twiinz and Gregory
in the Community

Our experience at the 26th
Annual African Street Festival
September 19- 21, 2008.
This was not our first time
attending the festival, however
it was our first volunteer
experience. While we had
the opportunity to hear and see
so many different talented
people in so many areas, whether
it was through poetry / spoken
word, dance, music, drums,
various African, Latino and
Native American cultures.
We were given the chance to meet
so many talented and phenomenal
people ( Kwame Lillard, free
rider / civil rights activist;
Rashad tha Poet, recording
artist; Tasha Jones, poet;
Bruce George, co founder of
HBO's Def Poetry Jam; Baba Ken
Amen, psalmist; Kashonda Babb,
owner of Generation Now, etc).
In between the volunteering we
also had the chance to hear and
see several young people (
teens) changing the world with
their words. They were
from Youth Speaks Nashville.
The whole experience in one we
will never forget.

What Are Da Misfit Twiinz Listening To?

Top 20
We must say
there is not much music today
worthy of being listened to.
There are hardly any songs with
positive messages. Music is not
the way it used to be. Artists
used to be able to have fun with
their music or had something to
talk about or at least music
worth being listened to.
